Completeness is the feature

Wallet-only tracking creates an incomplete month.

Apple’s Transaction trigger can reduce typing for supported in-person taps. It does not make Apple Wallet a budget, read complete history, or capture every way money leaves. Monetor combines that useful automation with the inputs needed to finish the picture.

01

Use Wallet where it is reliable

A personal automation can pass eligible transaction details to Monetor. You choose the cards and review the action that runs.

02

Scan what Wallet cannot see

Photograph a cash or paper receipt. OCR proposes merchant, date, tax, total, and line items; you correct the draft before saving.

03

Add the exceptions quickly

Physical-card purchases, transfers, tips, refunds, and cash without a receipt stay easy to add or reconcile manually.

One ledger, four inputs

Match the input to the purchase.

No single capture method sees everything. A deliberate mix is more reliable than pretending one feed is complete.

  1. 01

    Eligible Apple Pay tap

Let the Wallet Transaction automation run the Monetor Shortcut. Review the amount, currency, merchant, time, and wallet mapping.

  2. 02

    Cash or detailed purchase

Scan the receipt when item-level context matters. Keep the image only as long as your record and privacy needs require.

  3. 03

    Predictable payment

Create a recurring bill for rent, subscriptions, loan payments, and other scheduled money so the month shows them before they happen.

  4. 04

    Exception or correction

Enter cash, a physical-card purchase, refund, or adjusted tip manually. Fast correction is part of automation, not evidence that it failed.

A ten-minute weekly review closes the gaps.

Choose one regular time. Compare your wallets and recent receipts, confirm recurring payments, correct merchant names, remove duplicates, and add the purchases that never triggered an automation.

  • Check pending or adjusted restaurant and transport totals.
  • Match card labels to the correct Monetor wallet.
  • Record cash withdrawals as transfers before logging the cash spending.
  • Keep original currency visible before reading the base-currency month.
  • Review refunds and reversals instead of assuming they arrived automatically.

Complete the month without connecting the bank.
